The Barbour Group Recognized by The Arc of Carroll County
The Arc of Carroll County awarded Karen Barbour, President, with a 2010 WAMM Special Appreciation Award. The award is presented to individuals or groups who have provided noteworthy efforts to The ARC of Carroll County and/or people with developmental disabilities and whose ongoing actions bring life to The Arc’s tag line “Where Ability Matters Most.”
The Arc of Carroll County supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their individual pursuit of a fulfilling life.
“Karen Barbour has been a champion for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maryland since 2004. She gives much of her time, money and resources to help those with neuromuscular diseases,” said Don Rowe, The Arc’s Executive Director.
